The Alzheimer’s Association and CountryHouse Residence for Memory Care are teaming up to support caregivers for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. Intended to provide support, guidance and education, the series will feature helpful information from experts on dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Sessions will be held the fourth Wednesday of each month through July 2020 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at CountryHouse, 5710 Gibson Drive NE in Cedar Rapids. Dates and topics include:
March 26 – “10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s”
April 23 – “Health Living for Your Brain and Body”
May 28 – “Effective Communication Strategies”
June 25 – “Dementia Conversations”
July 23 – “Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior”
Caregivers are invited to bring their loved one with dementia with them to CountryHouse to receive free care while they are attending the session. Space for loved ones are limited, and a spot should be secured by contacting CountryHouse.
